Życie i kariera
W wieku 12 lat Bieber zajął 2. miejsce w lokalnym konkursie śpiewu w Stratford[9]. W tym samym czasie intensywnie uczył się grać na fortepianie, gitarze, perkusji i trąbce. Pod koniec 2007 roku wraz z matką zaczął wysyłać do serwisu YouTube filmy ze swoimi wykonaniami znanych piosenek[10]. Przeznaczone one były dla rodziny i przyjaciół[10]. Wkrótce potem firma Rapid Discovery Media zaoferowała mu pomoc w produkcji, montażu i promocji jego filmów na YouTube i MySpace[11]. Po publikacji piosenki With You Chrisa Browna Brown osobiście zadzwonił do Biebera i pogratulował mu[11]. W 2010 roku wraz z innymi gwiazdami, takimi jak Miley Cyrus, Pink, Fergie, Celine Dion zaśpiewał utwór We Are the World. My World
Pierwszy album Justina Biebera My World został wydany 17 listopada 2009 roku. Na płycie gościnnie śpiewa Usher, który wystąpił również w teledysku do singla One Time. W ramach promocji krążka Bieber dał wiele pojedynczych koncertów i wystąpił w kilku stacjach radiowych. Pierwszy singiel One Time w pierwszym tygodniu sprzedaży uplasował się na 12. pozycji na liście Canadian Hot 100 oraz 20. pozycji na Billboard Hot 100[10].Bieber wykonał One Time w kilku występach na żywo, m.in. w The Dome, YTV's Next Star, The Today Show czy podczas VMA MTVU's 09 Tour[17][18]. 26 września 2009 roku singiel otrzymał w Kanadzie status platynowego singla[19]. Niedługo potem również w USA otrzymał status złotego singla[20]. Drugi singiel promujący płytę, One Less Lonely Girl, ukazał się 6 października 2009 roku[21]. W tym samym miesiącu zajął 5. miejsce w rankingu Najlepszy dobry przykład sporządzonego przez AOL's JSYK[22]. W listopadzie 2009 był on supportem podczas dwóch występów w Anglii na trasie koncertowej Taylor Swift promującej jej album Fearless[23]. Zagrał koncert na Stadionie Wembley oraz na pięciu koncertach w Kanadzie sponsorowanych przez Urban Behavior[24]. Gościnnie wystąpił również w odcinku True Jackson, VP[25].
Justin Drew Bieber is a Canadian Pop and R&B singer. He was born was born on March 1, 1994 in Stratford, Ontario to single mother Pattie Mallette. Bieber began his professional career on Youtube, but he has since gone on to achieve international stardom. At 12, Bieber entered a local singing competition, placing second with a cover of Ne-Yo's "So Sick." He taught himself how to play several musical instruments, including the piano, drums, guitar, and trumpet. In 2007 Bieber and his mother began posting videos of Bieber’s performances on YouTube for absent friends and family. Beiber performed covers of various songs by artists like Usher, Stevie Wonder, Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson.
Scooter Braun, a former marketing executive of So So Def, discovered Bieber’s Youtube videos by accident while searching for another singer. Braun was impressed and after meeting the young singer, Braun flew Bieber to Atlanta, Georgia. There he introduced Bieber to Usher. After hearing him sing, Usher became greatly interested in Bieber, securing him an audition with Antonio L.A. Reid at Island Records .Bieber was signed to Island Records in October 2008.
On November 17, 2009 Bieber released his debut EP titled My World. My World achieved Platinum status in the United States and Canada, giving Bieber the honor of highest debut by a new artist in 2009. Also, because of My World’s immense popularity, Bieber became the first artist to have seven songs form a debut album chart on the Billboard Hot 100.
His first single “One Time” was released on radio while Bieber was still recording his first album. During its first week of release in July 2009, the song reached number 12 on the Canadian Hot 100 and number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100. Later in the year, its success spread to international markets. The song was certified Platinum in Canada and the U.S. and Gold in Australia and New Zealand. Bieber’s next three singles, “One Less Lonely Girl”, “Love Me”, and “Favorite Girl”, reached the top forty of the Billboard Hot 100.
My World 2.0, Bieber’s first full album, was released on March 23, 2010. Like his previous releases, My World 2.0 was met by immense success. It debuted at number one in the United States and reached the top ten of several other countries. It was certified platinum in less than two months. The lead single “Baby” became Bieber’s biggest hit to date, reaching number five in the United States and the top ten in seven other countries. Bieber’s next two singles, “Never Let You Go”, and "U Smile" were top thirty hits on the Hot 100, and top twenty hits in Canada. My World 2.0 debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200, making Bieber the youngest solo male act gain this honor since Stevie Wonder in 1963. My World 2.0 also achieved international success, reaching the top ten in nineteen other countries.
